Oven baked Chicken Tenders (recipe coming soon)

Oven baked Fish Fingers (recipe coming soon)
Now that my son is getting older and doing great with finger foods, I want to recreate some of the classic convenience foods and make them healthy. These crumbs are a great substitution when a recipe calls for traditional bread crumbs.

Note:  Be sure to salt your meat of veggy before using these crumbs.  There is salt already in recipe but you may find you want a little more.  Taste prepared crumbs and add more seasonings if needed.

So here is the Bread-less Bread Crumbs I will be using in lots of recipes as its own post.  This keeps well in refrigerator and I recommend making it in a bigger batch so you don't run out.

Note:  To make dairy free, omit the Parmesan Cheese and add 1/2 cup more almond flour and 1/4 tsp more salt.

Breadless Bread Crumbs

1 cup Almond flour
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Tony's Chachere Seasoning (or other favorite no msg seasoning)
1 tsp dried Parsley

  1. Mix all ingredients in Ziploc bag or plastic storage container and refrigerate until needed.

    1. Maybe ground golden flax seeds would work.

  5. Coconut flour may work well also.
